Licensed Marriage Family Therapist
Samantha "Sam" Lopez
Hi! My name is Samantha and I am the creator of The Therapy Innovation. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and…well, sitting on my couch! But we will call it spending time at home. I do like cooking and trying new recipes. This year, some of my first time recipes included mango crème brûlee, pozole verde, and a ridiculously detailed charcuterie board for a friend's birthday! My husband and I have five children, four of them are grown adults over the age of twenty-five and one, age thirteen! Many people call her the “oops” baby, but in fact, it took us six years to get pregnant with her. Her siblings call her the golden child because we are able to do more with her than when the other four were young. My husband and I have traveled with her to Indonesia, Australia, China, and all over Mexico and the United States. When the first four kids were little, it was a huge deal to find an extra twenty dollars in my pocket and treat them to pizza on a Friday night! Oh well, what can you do?

Human Resources Specialist
Helena Almaguer
Hi, I’m Helena! I bring my background in HR and organizational development to The Therapy Innovation with the goal of creating a supportive, welcoming environment for both our team and our clients. I care deeply about helping people feel seen and valued, and I love finding ways to make our workplace run smoothly so our therapists can focus on what they do best—supporting clients. Alongside my work here, I’m currently pursuing a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science, which continues to deepen my commitment to holistic, client-centered care. Being part of this team is truly meaningful to me, and I’m grateful to contribute to the compassionate care we provide every day.
